Who is CleanTEC?
In 1999, Peter Rochford and Chris Rogers left their senior roles at a large cleaning company due to policies they felt were unfair on employees. They founded CleanTEC on the belief that prioritising respect for employees wasn’t just the right thing to do, but was crucial to delivering quality results to clients.
To ensure that their values endured, CleanTEC became an employee-owned company in 2021, and is now one of the UK’s largest employee-owned cleaning companies.
Our partnership
CleanTEC is an incredibly unique business. Online, however, they were struggling to get visibility among a sea of competitors.
CleanTEC needed to redefine their online presence, ensuring that visitors to their website could immediately grasp the company’s mission and unique identity as an Employee Owned Business. At the same time, they also needed to emphasise their commitment to sustainability while showcasing diverse career opportunities and enhancing user engagement and satisfaction.
Base Creative partnered with CleanTEC to develop a strategy which would make the business more visible on both search engines and social media. That included building a new content-focused version of the CleanTEC site.
We created new pages which highlighted the company’s exceptional progress as an employee-owned business and showed what it was like the work at the business. We also reorganised existing information to increase search engine visibility, and planned and executed a social media strategy across multiple platforms to connect CleanTEC to their clients, employees and prospects.
By aligning the website’s content and design with CleanTEC’s core objectives, Base Creative transformed the company’s online presence. CleanTEC’s website became an engaging platform that not only informed visitors about the company’s mission, services, and career opportunities but also reinforced their identity as a socially responsible, employee-driven organisation.
The impact
Base Creative began working with CleanTEC in 2022. In that time our partnership has had a huge impact on CleanTEC’s visibility online.
- After the new website’s launch, CleanTEC’s website gained page 1 presence in Google Search results for “cleaning specialists” – up from #71 in July 2023, and #19 in August.
- The CleanTEC website also gained page 1 presence in Google Search results for “school cleaning services” – up from #91 in August.
- CleanTEC increased its engagements on social media by over 1300% between March 2022 and October 2023.
